Poets, as artist painting in words, have changed the world. Because of their profound poetic thoughts, poets have been tortured, imprisoned, rejected, banned, even killed for their written words of expression.

It is true the power of rhymes, songs and stories are catalysts for political, social, and religious revolutions. Poets in all cultures are also praised, admired, cherished, and honored because their words haunt our psyche and touch the very core of our being with love, anger, fear, peace, joy, rage, happiness, pain and sorrow. 

I hope you will take these few words about poetry as inspiration to find the poetic reflections in your own life. Give your reflective words merit by recording them so others can see, read and remember ... in some way we are all the poets of our own destiny.

L. A. TIMES FESTIVAL OF BOOKS SUCCESS

Well everybody, we finally made it as a featured author/poet, photographer in THE LOS ANGELES TIMES FESTIVAL OF BOOKS. It was a huge success for us. We met all these people from all over the world. Everyone loved the books from the DESTINY BRIGHT LIFESTYLE SERIES:

LOVE AFFIRMATIONS
The responses were all so positive. We plan to be there next year too. We will continue to promote, market, and sell the books at book signings, book festivals, and art fairs all through Southern California until the end of the year.

We were interviewed by a young journalist and should be soon featured on You Tube.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive. A special thanks to the LOS ANGELES GREATER WRITERS SOCIETY. They did a wonderful job in sponsoring us at the book festiva and in preparing, marketing, and keeping us informed with all we needed to do.

We celebrated at our favorite Thai Food restaurant BauNa in Pasadena with a delicious grilled tofu salad, Thai ice tea, and coconut ice cream.

DESTINY BRIGHT LIFESTYLE BOOKS AT LA TIMES FESTIVAL OF BOOKS

We launched the first series of DESTINY BRIGHT LIFESTYLES BOOKS called BRIGHT NATURE OF BEAUTY at the recent LOS ANGELES TIMES FESTIVAL OF BOOKS where we were featured author and photographer for the GREATER LOS ANGELES WRITERS SOCIETY.

The response proved fantastic as people loved the four books we had available plus calendars and signed art postcards. People of all ages, creeds and color came to check out our display and to talk to us about the messages of nature. To everyone who talked to us and showed so much interest and support; we thank you and hope to see you again soon.

2012 THE NEW YEAR BRIGHT FOR YOU

Dear Friends,

Greeting this New Year 2012, I see a brightness ahead for all who seek brightness, balance and beauty in their choices for their life.

* Brightness calls for accepting brilliance of a crystal clear mind, a radiant heart of love, and a body filled with energy and well-being.

* Balance calls for a life embracing faith, hope and charity, a spirit peaceful and secure, a destiny of sharing and service. 

* Beauty calls for respect, protection, and celebration of all the beautiful gifts we are surrounded with each day from the world of nature, music, foods, animals, children, poetry, thoughts, sounds, fragrance, words.

In this New Year 2012: abundance will increase dramatically; a new president will be elected; new information about space and beyond will astound us; new inventions will save lives and create hope for a better future; new co-operations among nations will increase our chances for lasting peace on earth; and new awareness for the rights of children and women all over the world will bring wellness and support for this long neglected area of need.

This is my interpretation, prayer and wish for the New Year.
